• providing a copy of the resident's rights;
• a physician evaluation including a current TB skin test;
• completion of a preadmission appraisal;
• clarification and provision of any advance directives by the health provider or responsible party;
• discussion and initiation of an initial service plan;
• completion of an activity and lifestyle assessment;
• coordination of a move-in date and plan to minimize transfer trauma.
